Members see Weymouth Club in a whole new light
For 27 years, Steve and Sally Goldman have owned, and grown, Weymouth Club to be one of the leading health and fitness facilities in the nation. With 12 expansions bringing the facility to its current size and a growing focus on energy efficiency, the club recently completed a total lighting retrofit with ThinkLite, a global lighting efficiency company. “Everything in our industry is moving toward energy efficiency. We wanted to do something about it,” said Steve Goldman.

Jeff Linn, Weymouth Club Executive Director, lead the search for a lighting partner and met with Michael Andersen, ThinkLite Vice President of Sales. Ultimately, he was thrilled with the decision to choose ThinkLite.
“We chose ThinkLite because they had a solution for every area of the club. Our lighting costs have been reduced by approximately 60% and ThinkLite worked with our utility to secure a project rebate of 70%.” With significant energy reduction and generous utility rebates, the ROI can be very attractive. But where ThinkLite stands apart is technology that allows replacement of the bulb only, not the entire fixture, providing an accelerated ROI that can’t be matched.

Danny Wadhwani, ThinkLite COO-CFO managed the installation with Jim Daly, the club’s Facilities Director. “We deployed a variety of solutions including our high efficiency driverless LED tubes, replacing traditional T8 and T5 fluorescents, our new LED Pods for direct replacement of inefficient metal halide bulbs for the pool light fixtures, and our exclusive HammeLite Induction system for tennis courts.”
