Each year, Inc. Magazine scours the entrepreneurial landscape to identify game-changing young companies with inspiring young founders under the age of 30. This year, Inc. reviewed over 500 companies and ThinkLite founders Danny and Dinesh Wadhwani were selected to the list of 30 under 30.

“This is an achievement we share with each and every one of our customers along with our amazing ThinkLite Team,” said Danny Wadhwani, ThinkLite COO/CFO. His brother Dinesh, ThinkLite CEO added, “In order to grow ThinkLite, we had to completely rethink the value proposition for companies that wanted to move to energy-efficient LED lighting.”
Traditionally, for a company to move to LED lighting, it required all new fixtures, resulting in enormous costs and long ROI. That was not compelling for many companies. “We chose to disrupt the space with new technology that allowed us to retrofit the bulbs only and use existing fixtures. This made the ROI very appealing,” said Dinesh.
Founded when Dinesh was attending Babson College, the company has grown to a global presence with a ‘driverless’ LED technology T5 and T8 retrofit tube that literally cuts electric consumption by over 50% while delivering better light.
“When you are able to completely disrupt traditional thinking, great things happen,” said Danny. “We are grateful that one of those things is this wonderful honor from Inc. Magazine.” Now, the top honor as best 30 under 30 company is in the hands of Inc. readers. Readers have until Wednesday, April 29 to vote for their company run by under 30 entrepreneurs.
“Just to be recognized by Inc. is very gratifying,” said Dinesh, “and we know we are in great company with some amazing young entrepreneurs. But we really want to push to get the top honor. That will put ThinkLite and our revolutionary technology square in the sights of companies searching for ways to become efficient, and sustainable. They will know that we have their answer.”
