Washington Gateway Main Street (WGMS) is a vibrant organization dedicated to preserve the economic vitality of Boston’s South End and lower Roxbury neighborhoods. On October 8, the organization held its annual fundraising event, which was attended by ThinkLite COO-CFO Danny Wadhwani.
‘Economic vitality can only be sustained in any neighborhood if local businesses are given the opportunity to prosper. ThinkLite is proud to work with businesses in Boston and throughout Massachusetts to help them control the high costs of electricity and improve their bottom lines by retrofitting their lighting to ThinkLite LED solutions.” said Wadhwani.
During the event, dubbed ‘Neckties 2014’, Wadhwani met with Boston Mayor Martin Walsh. The two discussed the need for small businesses to focus on sustainability as a means to strengthen their financial outlook. “The Mayor was impressed with ThinkLite’s commitment to making communities more sustainable”, said Wadhwani, “and he applauded ThinkLite for the impact it has both locally and across the state of Massachusetts.”
ThinkLite enjoys a very strong relationship with Washington Gateway Main Street and just recently completed a ThinkLite lighting retrofit at the non-profit’s inner city offices. Jennifer Effron, Executive Director was effusive in her praise of the new ThinkLite lighting solution.
“We really appreciate all that ThinkLite did to make our lighting retrofit a reality. From negotiating an exceptional rebate from our electric utility, to installing their terrific LED lights in our existing fixtures, to essentially cutting our electric costs in half, we can’t say enough about the products and professionalism of ThinkLite.” said Effron.
Wadhwani concluded, “We are very excited about our relationship with Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston and look forward to helping more city businesses experience the benefits of our breakthrough lighting solutions.”
