NATICK, MA (September 8, 2021) — ThinkLite, a globally recognized LED technology company headquartered in Natick, Massachusetts, and The David Ortiz Children’s Fund have joined forces to donate 300,000 face masks and air safety monitoring and purification technologies to The Salvation Army, the country’s largest privately funded, direct-service nonprofit. The supplies will be utilized at The Salvation Army’s Camp Wonderland in Sharon, Massachusetts, as well as Emergency Disaster Services throughout the Commonwealth and the Eastern Territory.
“We were excited for this camp opportunity to bring happiness to children and to our frontline Emergency Disasters Services volunteers while helping to keep them safe,” David Ortiz explained. “It is imperative that we give back to those vital organizations, like The Salvation Army, that have cared for so many of us during this difficult time. We are honored to make this generous donation together with ThinkLite.”
Camp Wonderland will be utilizing the face masks for their campers to practice safe, social distancing. The ThinkLite Flair Indoor Air Quality Monitors will equip the staff with concrete data on the air quality throughout the facility. Along with that, the ThinkLite Air Healer will be stationed inside the dining hall to provide MERV-19 air purification for up to 140,000 cubic feet of space. Lastly, the ThinkLite UVC wands will be used by staff for easy, portable sanitation in the cabin and program areas.
“We are incredibly thankful for this donation because we have been busy getting camp ready to meet COVID safety protocols that need to be in place for this summer,” said Jen Forster, Camp Director, The Salvation Army, Camp Wonderland. “We’re preparing to welcome youth back to overnight camp for the first time since before the pandemic. Our goal is to provide them with a summer to remember while keeping them healthy and safe.”
