ThinkLite LEDs were recently chosen to upgrade the court lights at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, NY. As the former site of 60 US Opens, this 120 year old club has always maintained the highest quality standards; especially when it came to court lighting. Arizon Air Structures coordinated the entire project and replaced 96 1000W metal halide lamps across two domes with their proprietary indirect fixtures and 312W of ThinkLite LEDs. In the end, foot candle readings were increased by 15% and energy use was reduced by 70%.
ThinkLite was also able to help secure a $38,000 rebate, which reduced the payback on the entire project to just 1.6 years. With a 24 month finance plan, the project was actually cash flow positive from day one and will save 242,820 kWh per year.
